They say that the road is more important than your destination. This must have been the idea behind when Toyota grabbed a car and soak their tires wet in paint to draw some characters on the pavement to create the iQ font from Toyota, and made it available for free download.
The font was digitized using tracking information provided by a custom software using openFrameworks. Check the video below for an interview about the process and the designers involved.

Check also these free fonts founded here and there, Simplistic, MindRiders, Blackout, Groteska, Slimbo and finally this site, Fonthead, that I haven’t heard of before but it seems to be rolling out since 2005.
