Rodier Kidmann is one of the greatest vector artists out there. He manages colour, forms and subtle textures like no other human being alive. The image above was created using his font Plasti, a typeface that he’s offering for free download in vectorial format at his site.
You don’t have to believe me, check the work of Rodier Kidmann at DeviantArt or Flickr and you will see what I mean. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that he offers a very cool font for free at his site, featuring three variations, a flat one, a glossy one, like the one I used above, and one with gradients. Ok, you could add the gradient by yourself, but it’s a good starting point. The typeface name is Plasti, and is offered in vectorial format and he claims it to be a “puzzle font”. The download link is provided on the site, at the top and within the single page portfolio.

Way cool.
Indeed, Rodier is such a great inspiration.
Wow, Rodier’s work is dynamite – color and geometry just explodes all over the place.
I’m loving the font, as well. I don’t know why but I’m really liking display fonts similar to Plasti like Val: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/VAL
