During 2010 WordPress reached version 3.0 gaining custom post types, menus, shortlinks and custom backgrounds and headers, as well as the merge of WordPress MU and WordPress. 2011 is awaiting the release of 3.1 with some other great features so this will definitely be an exciting year for WordPress and developers community.
