Random Inspiration: Sucker Punch

Sucker Punch is the latest movie from director Zack Snyder, who took Frank Miller’s 300 to the big screen in an epic and memorable adaptation. This last movie is a fantastic recreation of a fantasy world mixing an anime theme with Matrix, 300, Kill Bill and Moulin Rouge, with an awesome score including songs from Björk, Pixies, Queen, Eurythmics and even The Beatles. Here’s a compilation of some posters and illustrations from the amazing Sucker Punch.

I was thinking about adding a trailer but it’s best if you go and let yourself be surprised and amazed by this insanely spectacular movie. As a final note, if you like anime, you’ll specially love this movie for all the subtle references it has to it and lovers of Kill Bill, Matrix or 300 will definitely love this one. Here’s one of the songs in the movie, although it doesn’t have the same power than when it is accompanied by Snyder’s powerful images.

This is one of the few movies that I wanted to watch again as soon as it ended. Have you watched it? what did you thought about it?

  1. Great collection, wasn’t totally impressed by watchmen but this looks much better, love the collection of different styles featured, hope the new films as good 🙂

  2. WOW! Now I got excited to see this movie! Haha! Wasn’t expecting much of it… too bad I live in Brazil, don’t know when the premiere is going to happen around here!

  3. Wasn’t sure what I was going to see on this movie, but it ended up blowing my f**n mind. The visuals and the soundtrack were incredible! Too bad it’s very underrated by some “critics”.
