Moleskine launched their official app in Apple’s App Store. You can add notes, images or sketches and notes can be shared, geotagged or emailed. But is it good?
I downloaded it last night on the iPad (at the same time I bought Blogsyapp) and personally, to my surprise, I found that it’s not good. You’d be better sketching on paper, creating the notes and/or attaching images in Evernote or uploading them in Dropbox. Don’t know why, but it just doesn’t feels good.
It was unfortunate that I had purchased Blogsy at the same time, because comparisons couldn’t be avoided, even if they are apps oriented to completely different tasks. However, they have one thing in common: you can use them to write down ideas. The biggest difference is that Moleskine is free and Blogsy is 2,99. But then again, if you’re looking for something to sketch, use SketchBook Express by Autodesk. If you want to write down some ideas, just use Evernote.
If you found it useful please let me know how you’re using Moleskine app and if it filled a void in your everyday workflow.
