Publish a WordPress from the Admin Bar in the frontend

Admin Bar Publish

Publish WordPress posts from the front end

Admin Bar Publish allows you to publish a post straight from the front end while you’re reviewing a post. If the post is already published, it allows you to switch it to a draft.

This is quite handy if for example:

  • an author sends you a preview link for your final approval before publishing. You don’t need to go to the backend and publish it there. You can simply click Publish in the WordPress Admin bar and you’re done
  • you’ve imported a bunch of posts and you’re reviewing them in the front end. Just hit publish when you want to publish one of them
  • you see a previously published post and decide it’s not ok. You can hit the Draft button to quickly remove it from public view, so you can later edit it

Admin Bar Publish extends the standard WordPress Admin Bar to add a button so you can publish or draft a post. The button is visible in desktop and mobile views.

The Admin Bar Publish plugin for WordPress is free and available for installation from the WordPress repository.
